BRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay we know it is coming every year at this time of the year but it still doesn't prepare me for the blistering type of cold that just sucks the air right out of your lungs!!! It is just downright COLD, it was -20 degrees below zero with the windchill this morning!!! I almost froze my buns off pumping gas after I finished my workout at the gym!! I just checked the temp and it says it is still -15 degrees with the windchill, that is farenheight not celcius folks!! This kind of cold is just ridiculous, you can never be prepared for it right?  It is so decieving to look out my window and see the sun shining and it looks to be a nice day, even with some snow on the ground, and then WHAM you walk out the door and that blast of cold air hits you and immediately your face is frozen and shortly after you can't feel your nose.  Next comes the frozen nose hairs!! See what I mean, I know that is a little gross but when that happens you know it is cold!!

Anyway I am done whining about the cold and I will just bundle up and suck it up!! The bright side is tomorrow is Thanksgiving!! I LOVE this time of the year, the family time, food, shopping and of course as Christmas nears this year I am especially excited because for a change this year we will be at our house on Christmas day!!! I can't wait for my daughter to wake up and run out to the tree and open her gifts!!  I am so excited to make those special memories with her in our home!! Then after that our bible study group is putting on a Christmas lunch at our church for those who don't have anywhere to go or anyone to be with on Christmas or those who can't afford to have Christmas dinner.  This is the first year we have done this event and I am soooo excited for it, and for the opportunity to share this day with someone who doesn't get to share that time with their friends and family as I do!  Makes me know that I am truely, truely blessed and that I take that for granted.  I hope that through our generousity we can reach someone this Christmas season who needs the Lord and feels led because of something we did for them!!

Have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving!! I wish I could be with all of my family but I can't so I will be thankful that you are all healthy and happy!

  1. Sorry it is so cold. We have had a cold snap here-not that cold but cold for West Coasters-and it reminded me of all of those things I hated about the deep cold of SD!

I wish we could be there for Thanksgiving and Christmas. :( We'll just have to settle for thinking of you!
